Libby's Famous Pumpkin Pie

The Story

Printed on the orange Libby's Pure Pumpkin label since 1950, this is — quite literally — the pumpkin pie. The recipe has barely changed in 75 years, and the brand still fields phone calls every November from cooks reading it off the can.

  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground ginger
