Old-Fashioned Peanut Butter Cookies

The Story

Introduced shortly after Jif peanut butter hit the market in 1958, this recipe became the gold standard for industrial-era peanut butter cookies. It was engineered specifically to showcase the brand's 'fresh-roasted flavor' and smooth texture, specifically recommending the distinctive fork-crisscross pattern to ensure even baking.
