The Story

Sometimes called Seven-Layer Bars or Hello Dollies, this layered marvel has been printed on Eagle Brand Sweetened Condensed Milk cans since the 1960s. No mixer, no measuring once you start — you just stack and bake.

Ingredients

1/2 cup butter, melted
1 1/2 cups graham cracker crumbs
1 (14 oz) can Eagle Brand Sweetened Condensed Milk
2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
1 1/3 cups flaked coconut
1 cup chopped nuts

Directions

Preheat oven to 350°F (325°F for glass dish). In a 13x9-inch baking pan, combine melted butter and graham cracker crumbs; press evenly into the bottom of the pan.

Pour sweetened condensed milk evenly over the crumb crust.

Layer evenly with chocolate chips, coconut, and nuts. Press down firmly with a fork.

Bake 25 to 30 minutes or until lightly browned. Cool completely. Cut into bars. Store covered at room temperature.
