"The colorful classic that turned a candy into a baking staple."

The Story
While M&M's were originally marketed as a mess-free snack for soldiers and moviegoers, the brand began printing 'Party Cookie' recipes on the back of the yellow bags in the early 1960s to compete in the baking aisle. This specific recipe helped establish the tradition of pressing the candies into the dough before baking to ensure the colors remained vibrant and visible. It remains one of the most recognizable back-of-the-bag cookie recipes in American history.
