Hormel Chili Dip

The Story

Emerging as a staple of Super Bowl parties and suburban gatherings, this recipe first appeared on the back of Hormel Chili cans to promote the product as a versatile entertaining ingredient. It popularized the concept of 'dump and heat' appetizers during the 1970s and 1980s. Its simplicity ensured its status as a permanent fixture on the brand's labeling for decades.
