"The quintessentially chewy American oatmeal cookie."

The Story
While Quaker had printed various oatmeal cookie recipes since the early 1900s, this specific 'Famous' version became the definitive standard after appearing on the round cardboard canisters in the mid-1950s. It was designed to produce a consistently soft and chewy texture that highlighted the brand's quick and old-fashioned oats. It remains one of the most requested and frequently baked back-of-the-box recipes in culinary history.
