"The chewy, gooey family favorite since 1939."

The Story
Mildred Day and Malitta Jensen of the Kellogg's Home Economics department created this recipe as a fundraiser for the Camp Fire Girls. It was officially added to the Rice Krispies box in 1941 and has remained one of the most recognizable back-of-the-box recipes in American history. The simplicity of the three-ingredient snack helped it gain permanent status in the pantheon of home baking.
