Bisquick Impossible Cheeseburger Pie

The Story

Developed in the General Mills test kitchens, the 'Impossible' series of recipes became a cultural phenomenon printed on the back of Bisquick boxes throughout the 1970s and 80s. The novelty relied on the baking mix settling to the bottom during the bake to form a 'spontaneous' crust. This savory version became a weeknight staple for American families seeking quick, one-dish meals.
