"How to make a meatloaf a masterpiece."

The Story
For decades, the back of the A.1. bottle has featured this specific ratio of sauce to ground beef to highlight the condiment's role as a seasoning rather than just a topping. It gained massive popularity in the 1970s and 80s as a 'secret ingredient' recipe that distinguished it from standard tomato-based loaves. By incorporating the sauce directly into the meat mixture, it provided a depth of flavor that became a staple of American suburban dinner tables.
